This RV site is only available to groups who are renting the camping cabin as well. Up to six people may stay in an RV, and up to six people may stay in the camping cabin, allowing for group stays. RVers with any size RV enjoy a vacation rental experience rather than a crowded park at this site with full hookups (30 amp service, well water and septic). The site shares the amenities associated with the camping cabin: a lawn, fire pit, campwood, picnic table, propane grill, and access to an outdoor hot tub on a 10-plus acre waterfront estate on Lake Pend Oreille just minutes from the resort town of Sandpoint, Idaho. RVers enjoy stunning lake views and easy access to a public boat dock and a private beach. Please inquire about reserving this RV site in conjunction with the camping cabin for your next group campout.
The privately owned beach has a dock, beach shelter, horseshoe pits, concrete ramp for paddlecraft, and sitting areas on shoreline that is shared with other guests who are staying on the property; available for use from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Guests also have access to a double kayak and a variety of floaties at the beach.
Bring your RV of any type or size, as this site will accommodate up to a motor coach with tip-outs with 30 amp service, well water and septic. The RV site's location is a private spot overlooking Lake Pend Oreille and just a three-minute walk away from the water. Hookups are on-site with a frost-free hydrant serving up tasty well water! A beautiful outdoor hot tub under the stars seats five with a lounge. A unique outdoor shower with an on-demand propane water heater and portable toilet are available for those setups that aren't self-contained. We have accommodations for horses too. The property also includes a house and two other RV sites that allow for the possibility of group retreats.
Hawkins Point is the farthest point on the Sunnyside Peninsula, named for the fact that it faces south; it's a gateway to the northern end of the lake and the Pack River Delta. The property has been in the same family since 1944 at a prominent geographic feature on Lake Pend Oreille, Hawkins Point. A public boat dock is right across the road, and the private shoreline is just west of the Hawkins Point public boat dock.

Follow the host's directions! Do not trust your GPS out here in the country. Vehicles under tow should enter from Highway 200 at Sunnyside Cutoff Road at mile marker 36.
Do not follow GPS! From Sandpoint, Idaho, head east on Idaho State Highway 200 toward Hope. For vehicles under tow or large RVs, continue on Highway 200 to mile marker 36, and turn right on Sunnyside Cutoff Road. Go up and over the railroad tracks and around two 90-degree corners for about 1.5 miles to Sunnyside Road. Turn left on Sunnyside Road and continue east for about 4.5 miles. Look for a driveway marked by a blue mailbox with the number 5507 just before the Hawkins Point public boat dock. You'll see the beach with the privacy fence on the right directly across from the driveway. Turn up the slight hill to the left and stay left uphill past thebig barn; the site is about 75 feet north of the barn. We will be there to meet you and direct you into the site. Please keep us posted on your ETA.
For vehicles not under tow, or smaller RVs, you might considering turning onto Sunnyside Road at mile marker 35, where there's a railroad underpass. This is the west end of Sunnyside Road, which makes a loop with the highway. Do not enter at the east end of Sunnyside Road! After going through the railroad underpass, stay left on Sunnyside Road for 5.5 miles to the driveway marked by a blue mailbox with the number 5507 just before the Hawkins Point public boat dock.
